No. 1 PRINCETON TOPPLES TEMPLE, 19-6 IN LACROSSE

4.7.04 | Women's Lacrosse

PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore midfielder Corey Leader scored two goals and added an assist in the second half but it was not enough as top ranked Princeton defeated the Temple women's lacrosse team 19-6 on April 7 at Geasey field. With the win, the Tigers improve to 10-0 while the Owls fall to 3-6.

Joining Leader with multiple points were senior Tiffany Pulaski (2 goals) and freshman Allison Frengs (1 goal, 1 assist). Sophomore Nicole Cataldo added a goal for the Owls. Megan McLouth and Lauren Costello split time in goal. McLouth had three saves and Costello had four.

Lindsey Biles led Princeton with a game-high four goals. Tara Hardiman and Leigh Slonaker each had three goals for the Tigers. Sarah Kolodner and Colleen O'Boyle shared the goal keeping duties for Princeton. Kolodner had three saves and O'Boyle had five.

Princeton looked like a team worthy of its number one ranking as it raced out to a 9-0 lead before Temple recorded its only goal of the first half when Pulaski scored with 12:55 remaining in the opening period. The Tigers would score four more times to take a 13-1 at intermission. The Owls scored five more times in the second stanza while Princeton would score six to put the game away.

Next up for Temple, a visit from A-10 foe St. Bonaventure on Friday, April 9. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Geasey field.
