Senior Tiffany Pulaski had a game-high five goals, freshman Allison Frengs added three, while fellow freshmen Casey Cech and Johna Capaldo each had two goals and assist to round out the multi-point performers for the Owls. Nicole Catlado added a goal to complete the Temple scoring. Goalie Megan McLouth had 10 saves for the Owls.
Laura Spaulding led St. Bonaventure with three goals and an assist. Goalie Eileen Gagnon had 14 saves for the Bonnies.
The game was a back-and-forth battle in the first half. St. Bonaventure had its only lead, 7-6 when Katie Hurley scored on a feed from Megan Murphy with 4:57 remaining in the opening period. Temple closed the half with a three-goal burst to hold a 9-7 lead at intermission.
The Bonnies drew first blood in the second half to close to within a goal, 9-8, 51 seconds into the second period. The teams traded two-goal spurts before the Owls outscored St. Bonaventure 6-2 down the stretch to end the game and earn their second conference win of the season.
Temple continues its homestand on Wednesday, April 14 when the Lafayette Leopards Geasey Field. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
