TEMPLE FOOTBALL GAMES VERSUS PITTSBURGH AND RUTGERS TO BE BROADCAST BY ESPN REGIONAL TELEVISION

PHILADELPHIA -- The Big East Conference announced today that Temple's home football game against Pittsburgh on October 9 and contest at Rutgers on October 16 will be televised by ESPN Regional Television as part of its Big East Game of the Week package. Both games will kick-off at 12 noon.

It is yet to be determined which station will broadcast the games locally. The Big East station lineup for the ESPN Regional Game of the Week includes WPVI (ABC) and WPHL (WB) in Philadelphia, as well as WSWB (WB) in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pa. and WHP (CBS) in Harrisburg, Pa.

Temple's season opener versus Virginia at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, September 4 will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

The Big East television schedule was announced today at the Meadowlands as part of the league's annual media day at Giants Stadium. Senior DT Antwon Burton, senior WR Phil Goodman, junior LB Rian "Goo" Wallace and junior QB Walter Washington were Temple's student-athlete representatives at the event. Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw and Head Coach Bobby Wallace were also in attendance to answer questions from print, radio and television media and to provide insight into the 2004 edition of Temple football.
