"We're pleased to have someone of Traci's caliber take over the direction of our women's tennis program," said Bradshaw. "She knows what Temple athletics stands for as she was a key member of the staff when the team won the Atlantic 10 Championship and earned its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament."
Green, a member of the 1998 NCAA Champion University of Florida women's tennis team, knows all about winning programs and Temple. The Philadelphia native is the daughter of Tina Sloan Green, who guided the Owls' women's lacrosse program from 1975 through 1992, winning two NCAA Championships (1984 and 1988) during that span. Besides her experience at Florida, she won a USTA Junior Clay Court Championship (1992) and been a member of the U.S.A. National Team (1995-1996).
A UTSA teaching professional, Green earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Florida in 2000 and holds a Master's degree in Sport and Recreation Administration from Temple University (2004). In addition to her tennis pursuits, she has worked for the School District of Philadelphia as the Direct Services Coordinator for the West Regional Office of GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs).
