YOLANDA DURON NAMED ASSISTANT WOMEN'S TENNIS COACH

"We are extremely happy to have Yolanda join the Temple program," stated Green. "She possesses a wealth of knowledge as a former player, while also being involved in coaching the past two years."
Prior to her arrival at Temple, Duron served as a student assistant coach with the Drexel University women's team during the 2002-2003 season. She has also been a travel coach in Spain and worked with numerous USTA juniors in the Philadelphia area.
Originally from Austin, TX, Duron began her college tennis career at North Central Texas College where she was named the 1999 NJCAA Rookie Player of the Year. In 2000, Duron was a finalist in the NJCAA Flight #2 Doubles Tournament held in Tucson, AZ, while earning ITA rankings in singles and doubles. She later transferred to Drexel where she played the #1 and 2 positions, and was named an all-America East selection during the 2000-2001 season.
Duron, a 2003 Drexel graduate, is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Sport Psychology.
