FORMER OWL ISAAC NAMED WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
9.9.04 | Women's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA - Natalia Isaac, a former women's basketball player who helped lead Temple to its first Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship, was named the University's Director of Women's Basketball Operations, it was announced today by Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw.
It seems fitting that Isaac, who was a prolific scorer at the Liacouras Center, would now officially have an office in the building where she did her best work as a player. Isaac was the Owls' leading scorer in 2001-02 at 12.9 points per game, guiding Temple to its first Atlantic 10 title which it won on its home floor. The Owls also made the second appearance in school history the NCAA Tournament that season. Isaac also holds the Liacouras Center single game scoring record for a women's player (38 points vs. Massachusetts, 2/23/01) and she was one of two Owls (Athena Christoforakis was the other) who were invited to tryout for the WNBA.
Following her playing career Isaac served as an assistant coach at Southern University during the 2002-03 season. Isaac also played with the West Coast All-Stars, a collection of former college players that specialized in playing exhibitions against college teams in 2003. She holds a degree in Sport and Recreation Management from Temple University (2002).
