TEMPLE WOMEN'S SOCCER DROPS 2-1 DECISION TO LA SALLE

AMBLER, PA -- Temple women's soccer fell to La Salle, 2-1, in an Atlantic 10 Conference match up at a waterlogged Ambler Field on Friday, October 14.
La Salle freshman Traci DePasquale opened the scoring at 28:52 finishing a cross in the box from Kristen Hextall. Just five minutes later, Hextall, a sophomore, netted the game-winning goal off passes from Michelle Verzi and Erin McNulty. Temple came back just six minutes later (40:03) with sophomore Kaitlin Gavaghan sneaking the ball past La Salle goalie Lauren Malizia. Temple freshman Katrina Lynch was credited with the assist on the play. Temple dominated the second half of play, but was unable to find the back of the net.
In goal for the Owls, freshman Tiffany Kasunich registered nine saves. La Salle keeper Lauren Malizia recorded two saves in the match.
Temple (1-13-0, 0-5-0) next plays George Washington on Sunday, October 16 at Ambler Field. La Salle improves to 4-8-2, 1-2-1 in A-10 play.
