PHILADELPHIA -- The Saint Louis Billikens used three first half goals on their way to capturing their fourth conference win a 4-1 win over Temple in the Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer opening match for both teams Friday afternoon at Ambler Field. Billiken junior forward Maureen Hughes netted two goals in the winning effort.
At the 66:23 mark the Owls got on the scoreboard with freshman Jessica Feinstein scoring her first intercollegiate goal on an assist by Cori Gallagher.
Freshman goalkeeper Tiffany Kasunich posted four saves.
The Billikens utilized two goalkeepers in Amanda Martin and Abby Goellner (two saves).
The Owls remain at home Sunday afternoon for visiting Duquesne and a 1:00 p.m. start.
