NINE TEMPLE OWLS NAMED TO BIG EAST ALL-ACADEMIC FOOTBALL TEAM

PHILADELPHIA -- Nine Temple University student-athletes were today named to the 2004 Big East Conference All-Academic football team. The Owls had the second most honorees in the league behind West Virginia (10), while producing more than Boston College (6), Connecticut (2), Pittsburgh (7), Rutgers (4) and Syracuse (4).
Among Temple's nine honorees are five repeat selections: John Adams, Eric Carpenter, John Gross, Jason Johnson and Elliot Seifert.

The All-Academic Team recognizes letterwinners who have posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better. Student-athletes who have completed a minimum of two semesters of academic work and earned a letter are eligible. It is the 13th consecutive season the Big East has honored its student-athletes with an all-academic team.
