COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON TOPS TEMPLE, 6-1, IN WOMEN'S TENNIS

CHARLESTON, SC -- Freshman Sharanya Pattabi won her match at sixth singles, but that was the lone point for the Temple women's tennis team as it dropped a 6-1 decision to the College of Charleston Friday afternoon. 

 

Pattabi defeated Jenna Marks, 6-2, 6-3, to take her match.  Sophomore Yuri Kurashima lost in a third-set tiebreaker, 5-7, 7-6, 1-0, to Maxine Capewell at second singles in a tightly-contested match.

 

Temple returns home to host George Washington on March 17 at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center (11:00 a.m.).
