After earning Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year and A-10 Tournament's Most Outstanding Player honors, Candice Dupree has added Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American to her list of individual accolades. Dupree is the first player since Marilyn Stephens to earn All-American distinction.Dupree led the team and the A-10 in rebounds and blocks was first on the team and fourth in the Conference with 16.3 points per game. The Tampa, Fla. native finished with 13 double-doubles on the season en route to scoring her 1,000th career point and earning three A-10 Player of the Week honors. Dupree scored a career-high 31 points against Richmond and shot an impressive 53.9% from the floor to rank third in the Conference. She is ranked first all-time on Temple's career field goal percentage list. Dupree also earned Defensive Player of the Year honors and First-Team All-Conference honors for the first time in her career.
She led the Owls to a #15 Nationl Ranking and their best season ever with a single-season high of 28 wins and a nation's best 25 game winning streak. Temple advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in as many seasons and advanced to the Second Round for just the second time in program history.
