PHILADELPHIA-After earning a big win over LaSalle last week and compiling a three-game winning streak, the Temple women's lacrosse team (4-2) has risen to #16 in the latest IWLCA National Poll.  The Owls entered the polls at #19 last week after knocking off #2 Penn State, 6-5.

Temple improved to 1-0 in Atlantic 10 play by defeating LaSalle, 14-5, on March 30.  In addition to wins against LaSalle and Penn State, TU has also defeated Colgate and Old Dominion this season.

The Owls have three games coming up this week, including two tough contests against two top five teams.  On Wednesday, April 6, Temple travels to North Jersey to take on #3 Princeton at 7:30 p.m.  The team comes back to Philly for a match-up against A-10 and cross-town rival Saint Joseph's on Friday at 5 p.m.  TU wraps up the week with a game against #5 and periennal lacrosse powerhouse University of Virginia on Sunday, April 10 at 12 p.m.

Sophomores Allison Frengs and Patty Glavin lead the team in scoring, with 14 and 12 goals, respectively.  Goalie Megan McLouth has stopped 44 shots thus far this season.
