PHILADELPHIA  - Sophomores Allison Frengs and Patty Glavin have been named IWLCA/US Lacrosse Regional All-Americans, by a vote of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Committee. This is the first time that an Owl has garnered Regional All-American recognition since the 2000 season.

Frengs was the most dominant player on the Temple team this past season and was named the 2005 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year. She led the team in scoring, earning 53 points off of 46 goals and seven assists, and was second in caused turnovers (16). She also finished among the team leaders in groundballs (30) and draw controls (21). Frengs has had eight games where she has scored at least four goals, with her season high of six goals coming in the 14-10 victory over Saint Joseph's. Her game-winning goal in overtime against George Washington gave the Owls their seventh straight regular season title and the #1 seed in the A-10 Tournament. Her game-winners against Massachusetts and Colgate were also crucial to the squad's success this season. In just two years on the team, Frengs has scored 76 goals and is on track to rank among the program's scoring leaders.

Glavin was the second half of Temple's offensive tandem this season, finishing second on the team in scoring with 33 goals and six assists. Her lethal shot has allowed her to have eight multiple goal scoring games, in which she has often accounted for half of Temple's total goals scored. Glavin scored three of the Owls' six goals, including the game-winning goal, against then #2 Penn State, launching Temple into the Top 20 for the first time in three years. For her offensive prowess, Glavin was rewarded with National Player of the Week honors. She scored five goals in the 9-8 win over Duquesne, handing the Dukes their only loss in A-10 play. Glavin scored two goals in Temple's A-10 Tournament loss to Richmond and was named to the 2005 A-10 All-Tournament Team.

Temple, who captured its seventh straight A-10 regular season title, finished the season with a 10-7 overall record and a 6-1 mark in A-10 play.
