WOMEN'S LACROSSE TO TAKE ON RICHMOND IN SEMIFINAL ROUND OF A-10 TOURNAMENT

RICHMOND, VA.-Women's lacrosse is looking to take home its fifth straight Atlantic 10 title this weekend as they compete in the 2005 Atlantic 10 lacrosse tournament in Richmond, Virginia. The #1 seeded Owls (10-6 overall, 6-1 A-10) take on the #4 Richmond Spiders (7-7 overall, 5-2 A-10) today at 5:00 p.m. This is the second meeting of the season for the teams, with Richmond taking the last contest 8-6 in Philadelphia.
Playing in their seventh straight Conference tournament, the Owls have taken home at least a share of the A-10 regular season crown every season since joining the Atlantic 10 in 1999. Temple is 10-2 all-time in tournament play.
The Owls are led by A-10 Offensive Player of the Year Allison Frengs, who has earned 52 points off of 45 goals and seven assists. All-Conference selection Patty Glavin is second on the team in scoring with 31 goals and six assists. Senior Megan McLouth, who was also named to the A-10 All-Conference Team, anchors the TU defense with a 48.8% save percentage.
With a win today, Temple will take on the winner of the George Washington/Duquesne game Saturday at 6 p.m.
