SEVEN FOOTBALL PLAYERS DECLARED ACADEMICALLY INELIGIBLE

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today that seven scholarship members of its football team have been declared academically ineligible to compete during the 2005 season. The seven players are senior defensive end JC Braker, senior running back Tim Brown, junior defensive end David Fatherly, senior strong safety Bobby Fulmore, senior wide receiver Mike Holley, junior offensive guard Sam McNaulty and junior cornerback David Reese.
Temple opens its 107th season of collegiate football Thursday evening in Tempe, Ariz. when the Owls line up for a 10:00 p.m. Eastern kickoff versus Arizona State. The Sun Devils are ranked No 18 in the USA Today preseason coaches poll and No 20 in the Associated Press poll.
