WOMEN'S LACROSSE TABBED AS PRESEASON FAVORITE IN ATLANTIC 10

PHILADELPHIA - Temple has been named the team to beat in the 2006 Atlantic 10 women's lacrosse race according to voting conducted by the league's head coaches.  Temple captured its seventh straight A-10 regular season title in 2005 with a 10-7 overall record and a 6-1 mark in A-10 play.

 

Junior Alison Frengs was named the 2005 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year, as decided by a vote of the Conference's head coaches. Frengs was also named to the A-10 First Team along with teammate Patty Glavin. Junior Casey Cech and sophomore Whitney Richards were voted to the Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team while Glavin was voted to her second straight A-10 All-Championship Team.

 

This year's Atlantic 10 tournament will be held at George Washington University  May 5-7.
