PHILADELPHIA - Senior Matt Struble won his first match at the Wilson/ITA Regional Championships held Friday at the University of Pennsylvania. Struble will continue play Saturday afternoon at the six-day event, one of 18 such regional championships held around the county.

Struble defeated Fairfield's Jon Fernando, 7-6 (5), 7-5 in the first round. The lone Owl singles competitor in the championship, he will take on Cilumbia's Jared Drucker Saturday afternoon.

The Temple doubles team of Struble and Philip Gegenheimer fell to UMBC's Dave Jackson and Ifran Shamsbon, 8-4.
