HANOVER, NH - Senior Yuri Kurashima and freshman Radka Ferancova won two doubles matches at the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Dartmouth before falling to the fifth-seeded duo of Lena Litvak and Stephanie Schnitter of Harvard, 8-4, on Sunday afternoon. The Owl pair was the 13th-seed in the regional competition.

Kurashima and Ferancova, who had advanced to the finals of the Newport News Invitational last weekend, defeated Manhattan's Casey Canklin and Lindsey Keeler, 8-3 in the opening round Saturday. They then bested Gabby Rasteinak and Mary Wilson of Quinnipiac, 8-5.

Individually, Kurashima lost her first singles match Saturcday, 6-4, 6-3, to Maryland's Michal Ami. Ferancova defeated sydney Murray of Columbia, 7-6 (4), 6-0, Friday, before falling to ODU's Charleen Haarhoff of Old Dominion.

Haarhoff is a familiar foe for Temple as she was part of the doubles pair that defeated Kurashima and Ferancova in last weekend's final. Kurashima had defeated her in singles last weekend to win the consolation singles final.

The ITA Regionals concludes the Temple women's fall season.
