WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO PENN, 7-0

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's tennis traveled to Penn to take on one of the region's top team's and the Quakers had their way with the Owls, posting a 7-0 win Tuesday afternoon. The loss was the first of the season for Temple, who now stands at 4-1.
The Owls, who defaulted at fifth and sixth singles as well as third doubles, saw their top two players, senior Ana Maslesa and junior Yuri Kurashima, play well only to fall in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3 and 6-4, 6-2, respectively. The duo, ranked 14th in the region as a double tandem, dropped their first doubles match, 8-3.
Temple next host New Jersey Tech on February 16 (Noon) at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center.
