WOMEN'S TENNIS OPENS FLORIDA TRIP WITH WIN OVER AQUINAS

ORLANDO -- The Temple women's tennis team started off its Florida trip on the right foot, posting a 5-2 win over Aquinas Thursday. The Owls improved their record to 7-5 on the season.
Temple's top three singles players, Yuri Kurashima (#1), Sharanya Pattabi (#2) and Felicia Frazier (#3), posted straight set wins to lead the way. Barbara Oria Boer won at fifth singles while the teams of Kurashima/Pattarbi and Frazier/Eva Marsalkova posted wins to earn TU the doubles point.
Temple continues its trip with a March 11 match at Bethune-Cookman.
