UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, VA - The Temple women's team ended its trip to the southern wing of the Atlantic 10 Conference Saturday with a 5-1 loss to Richmond. The Owls dropped their second straight match in falling to 9-9 on the season while the Spiders earned their fourth straight win and eighth in the last nine matches to imrpove to 9-6 on the year.
Junior Yuri Kurashima was the lone Temple player to post a win. Kurashima, the current A-10 Player of the Week, defeated Beatrice Grasu, 7-5, 7-5, to up her singles record to 16-9 on the year.
Due to inclement weather, the double matches were not finished.
The Owls next play at Massachusetts on April 2.
