WOMEN'S TENNIS SNAPS FOUR-GAME SKID WITH 5-2 WIN OVER UMBC

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak with a 5-2 win over UMBC at the Levy Pavilion on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania Tuesday afternoon. The Owls improved to 6-5 with the win.
Temple took the top four singles flights with Yuri Kurashima,Sharanya Pattabi, Felicia Frazier and Barbara Oria Boer winning the firs through fourth slots, respectively. Frazier, who took third singles, had to come back following a 6-4 loss in the first set, while the other three Owl players won their matches in straight sets.
Frazier and Eva Marsalkova won their second doubles match, 8-3 while Oria Boer and Karina Collemar took third doubles, 8-3, to win that point.
The Owls next travel to Florida to take on Aquinas on March 10.
