SEAHAWKS SWEEP OWLS IN SOFTBALL DOUBLEHEADER

STATEN ISLAND, NY -- The Temple Owls fell to the Wagner Seahawks in both games of their doubleheader on Wednesday. The Seahawks, currently tied for first place in the Northeast Conference and on a 10-game win streak, beat the Cherry and White 11-6 and 6-5. The losses drop the Owls to 13-21 for the season.

The Seahawks answered right back in the bottom of the inning scoring four runs of their own. The Green and White would force in three runs by drawing bases loaded walks, while freshman Andrea Lazzari knocked in another with a single to center. The Seahawks tied it up in the fourth and the Owls were unable to get back the advantage they had in the beginning of the game. Wagner came back in the fifth and sixth innings with six runs.
The Cherry and White held their own in game two of the twinbill. it was the Seahawks turn to start first as they jumped out early with a five runs in the second. As Wagner did in the first game,
