AMBLER, PA -- First year Temple University softball coach Casey Dickson has announced the schedule for her summer hitting clinics to be held at Temple's Ambler Softball Field the months of June and July. There will be 24 sessions for girls aged 10 through 18 to allow for flexibility. Sessions will be held Mondays through Thursdays starting June 12 with three 90-minute blocks of time commencing at 4:00 p.m.
Dickson, one of the top career hitters in NCAA powerhouse Oklahoma history, guided Temple to a 22-23 record and 12-6 mark in conference play. The team's fifth place finish in the A-10 was an improvement of three places from 2005, when the Owls posted a 16-29 record and 4-12 mark in the conference.
Dickson, who set single season OU records for home runs (17) and RBI (61), instilled her hitting techniques at Temple and the Owls improved their batting average .076 points from .206 in 2005 to .282 in 2006. Temple also hit 15 more home runs in 2006 and drove in 74 runs.
