PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple football team will travel to the beach resorts of Cape May and Ocean City, N.J., this Sunday (July 16) as part of the team's eighth annual Shore Tour. The Owls will first land at Convention Hall (714 Beach Drive) in Cape May from 10--11:45 a.m. before greeting fans at the Ocean City Music Pier (9th and Boardwalk) from 12:30--2:30 p.m.
Coaches, players, cheerleaders and mascot Hooter will all be on hand with promotional materials, prizes, autographs and more in an effort to promote Temple's upcoming home season at Lincoln Financial Field.
Temple's 2006 football campaign begins on Thursday evening, August 31, at Buffalo. The Owls then host Louisville in their home opener on Saturday, September 9. TU is slated to hold its first preseason practice on Friday, August 4.
