TEMPLE FOOTBALL AND BASSETTS HOLD PEP RALLY TO INTRODUCE SPECIAL "OWL GOLDEN" ICE CREAM AND PROMOTE HOME OPENER

PHILADELPHIA - Temple Athletics and Bassetts Ice Cream have teamed up to offer fans a special flavor called "Owl Golden."  The ice cream will be served during a Pep Rally at Reading Terminal Market on Friday at 12:30 p.m. 

The festivities at the Pep Rally will include appearances by Temple mascot Hooter the Owl, the Marching Band, Cheerleaders and Diamond Gems Dance Team.  The cherry and French vanilla ice cream, named in honor of new head football coach Al Golden, will include a special topping, a cookie replica of the well-known Temple "T," on each serving. 

Temple Football kicks off their home schedule, as they battle Louisville on Saturday, September 9 at Noon at Lincoln Financial Field.  Tickets are available in advance at the Lincoln Financial Field Box Office, by calling Ticketmaster at 215-336-2000, or by logging on to www.ticketmaster.com.
