PHILADELPHIA - Temple football has been named the Division I-Football Bowl Subdivision National Team of the Week by the CollegeSportsReport.com.

In its second season under head coach Al Golden, Temple captured its third consecutive win in Mid-American play last Saturday with a 24-17 victory over Miami (OH) after starting the season at 0-5. The third consecutive win is the Owls' first since 1990, and the three-game winning streak is TU's first in conference play since 1967.

Temple was also one of four teams nominated for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl National Team of the Week.

Riding a three-game winning streak, Temple (3-5, 3-2 MAC) has a bye this week. The Owls return to action on Friday, Nov. 2 at Ohio. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
