Washington, DC - Temple goalkeeper Kara Williams tallied seven saves, but a GW goal in the 38th minute proved to be all the offense they would need as the Colonials (7-8, 2-6 in A-10) beat the Owls (5-9-3, 1-7-1 in A-10) 1-0.

Williams was tested early as the Colonials' offense tallied four of their eight shots on goal in the first half. Williams would stop three of the four shots as the Colonials' Meg Pyle blasted a 25-yarder over the head of Williams late in the first half.

Temple would storm back offensively in the second half registering three shots on GW goalkeeper Amie Kern. Kern put an end to the Owls rally preserving the 1-0 win for GW. Katherine Shmelz, Kelly Lare, and Katrina Lynch led the Owls' charge each tallying a shot on goal.

The Owls haven't scored a goal in the last four games and have now lost seven of their last eight.

Temple will look to rebound as they travel to Richmond, this Sunday, at noon.
