Vs. Northern Illinois

• Temple Game Captains: #93 RE Leyon Azubuike (defense), #59 Alex Derenthal (offense), #13 QB Adam DiMichele (offense), #9 Anthony Ferla (defense), and #37 DB Abioye Oyeyemi (special teams).

• Junior DT Terrance Knighton scored his first touchdown of his career in the second quarter following his third career fumble recovery. He recovered the first two fumbles of his career last week at Army. The 66-yard return was also Knighton's longest.

• Knighton's second quarter TD is Temple's first defensive touchdown this season.

• Freshman WR Marquise Liverpool's 48-yard reception in the second quarter was the longest of his career.

• Temple 10-6 halftime lead marked the first time this season the Owls have led at intermission.

• Freshman ATH Daryl Robinson had season highs of 14 carries for 71 rushing yard

• Redshirt sophomore PK Jake Brownell made a career high three field goals in the game, including the game-winning kick, a 39-yarder, with nine seconds remaining.

• Sixteen freshmen, including 13 true freshmen, saw action in today's game.

• A season-high five true freshman (RE Morris Blueford, RG Derek Dennis, OLB Amara Kamara, WR Moses Parker, and CB Jamal Schulters) received starting nods.

• Temple's win today was the second under head coach Al Golden and the first this season. It also marked TU's first victory in Mid-American Conference play. Under Golden, the Owls have won two consecutive games during Homecoming. The win snapped the school's eight-game losing streak.

• After playing two seasons as an affiliate MAC member, today's win was TU's first in MAC play. The last time Temple won a conference game was Nov. 13, 2004, against Syracuse (34-24) when the Owls were members of the Big East.
