PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Daryl Robinson and Jason Harper combined for 133 rushing yards in the second half and Dy'Onne Crudup hauled in a 20-yard touchdown reception with 12:30 remaining in the game to lift Temple to a 24-14 win over Kent State on Saturday.

The Owls (4-7, 3-3 MAC East) handed Kent State (3-8, 1-4) its sixth straight loss. The Owls' win total is the most since 2002 and their four conference wins, including a victory over MAC West foe Northern Illinois, are the most since 1967 when Temple was a member of the Middle Atlantic Conference.

Robinson finished with a career-high 105 yards on 17 carries. Harper had 79 yards and a touchdown. Temple's offense moved the football into Golden Flashes' territory on 14 of 15 drives and into the red zone on nine occasions.

Kent State quarterback Jon Brown completed only 1 of 11 passes and was intercepted four times in the second half by the Temple defense. For the game, Brown was 11 of 27 for 76 yards.

The Owls trailed 14-6 in the third quarter after Kent State's Coleman Lynn recovered a punt in the end zone that was blocked by Kevin Hogan. Temple answered back in only four plays on a 9-yard cutback run for a touchdown by Harper to cut Kent State's lead to 14-12 with 3:25 remaining in the third quarter. Harper had 49 rushing yards on the drive as the Owls scored just their first touchdown in nine quarters.

Crudup then caught a touchdown pass from Vaughn Charlton, who threw for 191 yards while making his third start in place of the injured Adam DiMichele, to give Temple an 18-14 lead. Jake Brownell booted a pair of field goals for the Owls in the fourth to put the game out of reach.

Eugene Jarvis gave the Golden Flashes an early 7-0 lead on a 21-yard run in the second quarter.
