Neblett & Harris Named to All-MAC Teams

CLEVELAND - Temple sophomores DT Andre Neblett (Rahway, N.J.) and DB Dominique Harris (Washington, D.C.) were named to the 2007 All-Mid-American Conference teams on Tuesday.

Neblett earned All-MAC Second-Team honors, while Harris was named to the Third Team. The duo helped the Owls to a 4-8 overall record and a 4-4 mark during their inaugural season in the MAC.

Neblett started all 12 games for the Owls on the defensive line. He had 42 tackles, including 18 solo takedowns and 8.5 for loss. Neblett recorded six sacks and two forced fumbles.

Harris started every game at safety. He led all Owl defenders with 81 tackles, including 41 solos. He had a team-best five pass break-ups, a team-best three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

The All-MAC teams were selected by the MAC head coaches.

In awards voted by the MAC News Media Association, Buffalo's Turner Gill was named Coach of the Year, Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour as Offensive Player of the Year, Clayton Mullins of Miami as Defensive Player of the Year, Brett Kern of Toledo as Special Teams Player of the Year, and Antonio Brown of Central Michigan as Freshman of the Year.
