PHILADELPHIA - Temple football fans can cheer on their Owls at a pep rally prior to the long-anticipated clash with intrastate rival Penn State.

The pep rally will be held on Friday, Nov. 9 from 4:30-6 p.m. at Dilworth Plaza (City Hall area).

Entertainment will be provided by the Temple Marching Band, the Diamond Gems Dance Team, Temple mascot Hooter the Owl, and the cheerleaders. The festivities will also include an appearance from the Mummers' Durning String Band.

Head Coach Al Golden and the Temple football team will stop by to address the crowd.

Fans will be eligible to win great prizes, including a pair of tickets to the Temple-Penn State game.

Temple University students attending the game will receive a cherry "Owl" rally towel, sponsored in part by Kampus Klothes and PNC Bank.

Kickoff time for Temple's football game with Penn State on Saturday, Nov. 10 is Noon at Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be televised nationally by ESPNU.
