Women's Tennis Opens Florida Trip With Win Over Toledo, 5-2

FT. MYERS, FL - The Temple University women's tennis team opened its Florida trip with a victory, defeating Toledo, 5-2. The Owls improve to 7-2 on the season.
Junior Dina Senkina was victorious at second singles, defeating Martina Wodzinski in a tight match, 0-6, 6-2, 6-2. Radka Ferancova, Anastasiia Rukavyshnykova, and Felicia Frazier defeated their opponents in straight sets at third, fourth and sixth singles, respectively.
The pairs of Senkina/Ferancova and Pattabi/Rukavyshnykova grabbed wins at the No. 1 and 3 spots to clinch the doubles point for Temple.
"Toledo was a tough team," said head coach Traci Green. "We really battled hard and rose to the occasion amongst tricky outdoor conditions."
The Owls will travel to Tampa to take on Hillsborough Community College Tuesday, March 6th at 3:00 p.m.
