Princeton, N.J.- Tewaarton Trophy candidate Katie Lewis-Lamonica netted seven goals and assisted on one other to lead the 13th ranked Princeton Tigers, 18-7, over the Temple women's lacrosse team on Wednesday night.  Kelly Yemm, Katie Yori and Allison Frengs each scored two goals a piece but it was not enough as Temple drops to 4-7 on the season.

The Tigers got off to a 2-0 start just five minutes into the contest with goals by Kathleen Miller and Lewis-Lamonica.  Yemm's unassisted tally three minutes later cut Princeton's lead to just one goal but the Tigers scored two more goals in the next three minutes to make it 4-1.  Yemm fought hard to keep the Owls in the game, striking again at 18:18 after taking a pass from Johna Capaldo.  The two goal differential was too close for the Tigers, however, as Lewis-Lamonica spearheaded a three-goal Princeton run, making it 7-2 with just under 12 minutes to go.  Yori's free position shot with 6:19 remaining in the half to make it 7-3 at the break.

The Tigers came out firing in the second half, scoring 11 goals, including seven straight to begin the stanza.  Frengs tried to rally her team, netting two goals in a three goal run, but Princeton scored four more goals to earn its ninth consecutive win over Temple, 18-7.

Casey Cech also scored for the Cherry and White.

Temple returns to Atlantic 10 play on Sunday, April 15 when it hosts George Washington at 12 p.m.
