Kurashima and Senkina Named To A-10 Women's Tennis All-Conference Team

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University senior Yuri Kurashima and junior Dina Senkina were named to the 2007 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis All-Conference first team in voting conducted among the Conference's head coaches following the A-10 Women's Tennis Championship.
Kurashima, a native of Tokyo, Japan, was honored to the all-conference first team for the second-straight year after leading the Owls at the No. 1 spot with a 9-7 record. She also compiled a 9-7 record at first doubles with partner Christine Clermont.
Senkina, a native of Moscow, Russia, was named to the all-conference first team after posting a 7-6 record at second singles. In doubles action, she recorded a 14-3 mark with Radka Ferancova at the second spot.
Kurashima and Senkina led the Owls to the A-10 Women's Tennis Championship on April 22 at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa., falling to Richmond, 4-0. The Owls' second place finish was their best showing in the tournament since 2003.
Temple finished the season with a 16-4 record under third-year head coach Traci Green.
