PHILADELPHIA - Senior All-America candidate Adrienne Repsher has been named a first team ESPN The Magazine District 2 All-Academic team selection, announced Wednesday. Boasting a 3.87 cumulative GPA as an elementary/early childhood education major, Repsher will graduate later this month.
Repsher's latest academic accomplishment comes on the heels of being named Temple's 2007 Female Student-Athlete of the Year, the Atlantic 10 Co-Student-Athlete of the Year and to the academic all-conference team.
In addition to garnering several awards due to her performance in the classroom, Repsher's production in between the chalk has yielded her the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year award, as well as being named to the conference's first team. Twice named the A-10 Player of the Week, Repsher has slammed a school record 13 home runs this season while driving in 39 runs and scoring 43 more. The veteran first baseman's .969 slugging percentage ranks second-nationally.
The Temple softball team (18-19) resumes play in the Atlantic 10 Softball Championship on Wednesday at noon vs. #1 UMass.
