AMHERST, MA - Temple junior outfielder Brittany Burks has been named to the 2007 Atlantic 10 Softball All-Championship team, announced following the tournament's conclusion. In three games, Burks batted a team-best .667 (4-for-6) while tallying one RBI and a .833 slugging percentage.

After batting .212 at the conclusion of the regular season, Burks played a significant role in the Owls' 8-0 win over Charlotte on the tournament's first day. With a runner in scoring position, the Ontario, Calif. native blooped an RBI single into leftfield giving the Owls a 1-0 lead. In her next at-bat, Burks nearly missed her second home run of the season as she sailed a double off the leftfield fence.

Joining Burks on the All-Championship team were UMass' sophomore Brandice Balschmiter, also named the Championship's Most Outstanding Player, Candice Molinari and Lauren Proctor, Charlotte's senior Kristi Killough and junior Emily Forbes, Saint Louis' junior Ashley Levan and Fordham's junior Allison Twarowski and sophomore Melissa Andrews.

After defeating Saint Louis 9-3 in Saturday's Championship, the Minutewomen captured their 13th conference title in the last 14 seasons, and 19th overall.
