STARKVILLE, MS - Temple senior 1B Adrienne Repsher is one step closer to becoming the Owls' first All-American selection after being tabbed a first team Mid-Atlantic All-Region honoree on Wednesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Repsher, who received the same distinction in 2004, eclipsed several Temple records after producing one of the most successful single-season campaigns in Owls softball history.

"This honor wouldn't have been made possible without the season our team had offensively," Repsher commented. "I couldn't have done it without everyone around me. It's just been great."

Repsher, the Atlantic 10 Player and Co-Student Athlete of the Year, concludes her Temple career as the all-time leader in home runs (22) and total bases (250), while ranking in a tie for the top spot in doubles (41). The Nazareth, Pa. native set new single-season marks in batting average (.456), home runs (13), runs (44), slugging percentage (.969), on-base percentage (.578) and fielding percentage (1.000).

In consecutive weeks, Repsher was ranked first-nationally in slugging percentage (4/24, 5/1), while also placing in the Top 10 in batting average, home runs per game and RBI per game. At the conclusion of the regular season, the left-hander ranked first in the conference with a .458 batting average, second with 13 home runs and fourth with 39 RBI.

"I can't say enough about Adrienne Repsher and how proud we are of her accomplishments," praised second-year head coach Casey Dickson. "She is the epitome of what Temple softball is looking to put on the field and in the classroom."

The first team All-Conference selection, who boasted a 3.87 GPA as an elementary/early childhood education major, has also excelled in the classroom and was named Temple's 2007 Female Student-Athlete of the Year and the College of Education's Student of Year. She has also received Atlantic 10 and first team ESPN The Magazine District II All-Academic honors.
