PHILADELPHIA - Senior Allison Frengs has been named to the 2007 Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference First Team in a poll conducted among the Conference's head coaches. Senior Casey Cech and juniors Hillary Richards and Berkley Summerlin received Second Team honors.

A two-time IWLCA/US Lacrosse Regional All-American and three-time A-10 First Team selection, Frengs has led Temple in scoring the last three seasons. She scored 41 goals, including at least a hat trick in nine games, and dished seven assists this season. Frengs was voted the A-10 Co-Player of the Week and womenslacrosse.com's Honor Roll after scoring the game-winning goal against Massachusetts and three goals, including two in a comeback run that tied the game, to give TU its first win over Richmond since April 25, 2004. She has also strung together 24 straight games with either a goal or an assist, which is the 22nd longest streak in the nation. A strong all-around player, the Collingswood, N.J. native placed second on the team in draw controls (32) and had 11 caused turnovers and 18 groundballs.

Starting in every single game of her career, Cech has been among the team leaders in both goals and assists each year. She was second on the team in scoring this season, amassing 24 goals and six assists. She also had 17 groundballs, 16 draw controls and nine caused turnovers. Voted a Second Team IWLCA/US Lacrosse Regional All-American and First Team All-A10 last season, Cech scored a season-high four goals in a tough loss to Old Dominion.

Richards was an extremely strong presence in the Temple midfield this season, leading the Owls in draw controls with 33 and ranking second in groundballs (28) and caused turnovers (14). Starting in every game, the junior also had two goals and two assists. She had three draw controls in four different games this season, but played her best lacrosse against La Salle, collecting five draw controls, two caused turnovers and two groundballs to aid in the win.

Summerlin ranked third on the squad in scoring this year, tallying 13 goals and three assists for 16 points. Her strong mark-up play in the Owl midfield also resulted in 16 groundballs, 17 draw controls and 10 caused turnovers. The Baltimore, Md. native scored a season-high three goals and dished one assist in the 17-4 win over Marist. This is the second straight season that Summerlin has earned Second Team All-A-10 honors.
TU enters the 2007 A-10 Tournament as the #4 seed after posting a 6-10 overall record and a 4-3 mark in A-10 play. The Owls will face top-seeded Richmond in the semi-final round on Friday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Temple's Geasey Field.
