Temple Student-Athletes on Honor Roll
PHILADELPHIA - Fifty Temple University student-athletes were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2007 semester, the conference announced Tuesday. All 1,118 members of the honor roll were recognized by Commissioner Linda Bruno for posting a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
"It is an honor to recognize these student-athletes who truly exemplify what the college experience is all about," says Bruno. "Their commitment to excellence on and off the playing field is inspiring and should serve as an example to all."
The Temple women's crew team led all Cherry and White programs with 10 student-athletes honored. Field Hockey (7), Lacrosse (6), Men's Track and Field (5), Women's Tennis (4), Women's Volleyball (3), Men's Soccer (3), Men's Golf (2), Men's Tennis (2), Women's Soccer (2), Softball 2), Men's Crew (2), Women's Basketball (1), and Men's Basketball (1), all feature athletes who received the honor for the Spring semester. Only sports that compete under the Atlantic 10 governance were recognized.
