INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Temple senior 1B Adrienne Repsher has been crowned the NCAA Division I Softball Slugging Percentage Champion. After boasting a nation's best .951 slugging percentage, Repsher becomes the first Temple player to win the honor.

"There was a stretch of games towards the middle of the season where I felt like I was seeing the ball better and hitting everything on the nose," added the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and First Team Academic All-America selection. "I never really got into the box trying to place the ball, but when I got into that groove, I started hitting for more extra bases."

Repsher adds her slugging percentage crown to a laundry-list of achievements resulting from the 2007 season. After batting a conference-best .456, slamming a school-record 13 home runs and knocking in 39 runs, the Nazareth, Pa. native garnered the league's top honor, as well as First Team All-Conference recognition. The First Team Mid-Atlantic All-Region honoree concludes her Cherry and White career atop three all-time career records, including home runs (22), total bases (250) and doubles (tied, 41) - and five single-season marks, including home runs, batting average, runs scored (44), slugging percentage and on-base percentage (.578).

On May 30, Repsher became just the fourth Temple student-athlete to be named a First Team Academic All-America. Prior to graduating with a 3.87 GPA and an undergraduate degree in elementary/early childhood education, Repsher was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Student Athlete of the Year, the College of Education Student of the Year, a First Team ESPN The Magazine District II All-Academic selection and an Academic All-Conference honoree.
