Adrienne Repsher Named ECAC Division I Player Of The Year

CENTERVILLE, MA - Temple senior Adrienne Repsher was named the 2007 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division I Player of the Year, the Conference announced Wednesday. The Atlantic 10 Player of the Year was also named to the ECAC First Team at first base.
Repsher's ECAC All-Star selection is yet another in a host of honors received in recognition of her outstanding senior season. A First Team All-Atlantic 10 and Mid-Atlantic All-Region selection, Repsher was also crowned the Division I Softball Slugging Percentage Champion with a .951 mark.
The Nazareth, Pa native batted a conference-best .456, launched a school-record 13 home runs, and knocked in 39 runs to cap an all-star career. Repsher now holds three all-time career records for the Cherry and White, including home runs (22), total bases (250) and doubles (ties, 41). She also holds five single-season marks, including home runs, batting average, runs scored (44), slugging percentage and on-base percentage (.578).
On May 30, Repsher was named a First Team Academic All-American, becoming just the fourth Temple athlete to receive the honor. The Atlantic-10 Co-Student Athlete of the Year posted a 3.87 GPA and received an undergraduate degree in elementary/early childhood education. Repsher was also named the College of Education Student of the Year, a First Team ESPN The Magazine District II All-Academic honoree and was an Academic All-Conference selection.
Since its inception 70 years ago, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has emerged as the nationwide leader in service. The Conference has grown significantly from 58 charter members to today having 319 member institutions in Divisions I, II and III, ranging in location from Maine to North Carolina.
