Temple Announces Football Television Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - Six Temple University football games will be televised live, including three contests to be carried nationally on ESPNU, announced Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw. The number of live televised contests marks the third most in program history, trailing just the 2000 (10 games) and 2005 (7 games) seasons.

"We are extremely happy to provide our fans a television schedule reflective of a quality Bowl Subdivision program," said Bradshaw. "Thanks to these television agreements, sports fans both locally and nationally will gain greater exposure to the Owl Football."

The three games slated for ESPNU include the team's opener against Navy on August 31 at Lincoln Financial Field, a Sept. 29 date at Army and the Penn State game at Lincoln Financial Field on Nov. 10.

Temple will also have three games produced by ESPN Regional Television.  The Owls games against Bowling Green (Sept. 22) and Miami (OH) (Oct. 20) will be part of the Mid-American Conference syndication package and will be carried in Philadelphia on myphl17.  Temple's game at Connecticut will also be produced by ESPN Regional Televison and will air on 6ABC in Philadelphia.
