Kingston, R.I.- Women's basketball (10-10, 3-1 A-10) makes its final television appearance of the regular season when it travels to Rhode Island (9-10, 2-2 A-10) on Sunday.  The game, which tips off at 12 p.m., will be broadcast nationally on CSTV.  Temple has won three straight games since dropping its Conference opener against Dayton.

The game also reunites Dawn Staley with former assistant coach Ervin Monier.  Monier, now an associate head coach with the Rams, served as an Owl assistant from 2000-04.

Down 14 points mid-way through the second half, the Temple women's basketball turned up the defensive pressure, while putting together a 25-4 run to overtake the Richmond Spiders, 47-40, on Wednesday night.  Senior captain Ashley Morris scored 17 points during that stretch to finish with 22 points and lead her team to its third straight victory.  Morris was nearly perfect from the charity stripe, making nine of 10, while grabbing seven rebounds and collecting three steals.  The Spiders failed to score a field goal for the final 11 minutes of the game, earning just two points on free throws.  LaKeisha Eaddy was also in double figures for Temple, scoring 11 points, while Shanea Cotton had a game-high 10 rebounds.  Temple held a slight rebounding edge, 39-32, limiting Richmond to just six offensive boards.

Morris leads Temple in scoring and assists, averaging 14.5 ppg and dishing 74 assists.  Lady Comfort is averaging 8.6 ppg and a team-high 7.7 rpg.  Eaddy has a team-high 30 steals.

Four different Rams scored in double figures as Rhode Island posted an 82-73 overtime victory against Saint Louis on Wednesday.  Safi Mojidi put up a team-high 24 points while the Rams shot a season-best 53.6 percent (30-56) from the field.  Whitney Hollis and Amanda McGrew each finished with season-high point totals, 14 and 19, respectively.  Crytstal Bellinger dished out a game-high five assists to go along with her career-high 15 points.

Mojidi is the lone Ram in double figures, averaging 13.9 ppg and a team-high 48 assists.  Sierra Cooper is Rhode Island's top rebounder with 6.3 rpg, while Bellinger has collected a team-best 32 steals.

The Kimmel Center
After helping Temple to a 2-0 week in the Liacouras Center, including an upset of #13 George Washington, Lindsay Kimmel was named the Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week 1/20).  Kimmel led Temple in scoring in both games and showed off her long range shooting, converting 50% of her three-pointers.  She scored a career-high 15 points against GW, all coming from beyond the arc, to give Temple its second win over a Top 25 team this season.
