Recap|Box Score Notes

Temple Head Coach Al Golden

On what the win means for the rest of the season:
"It's a big win for us. I think the kids are pretty excited in there. We get some time off, which is huge for us, guys are pretty banged up and then we have Navy down there. We still have a very challenging schedule."

On what was the difference in the second half
"I think we finished the game. We showed toughness. That was the first time this year we won a game like this in the fourth quarter. Miami and Army were won before the fourth quarter, so to win a game like this is very gratifying."

"When you stop making negative plays, you can snap out of it."

On if he thought the team would fold after the missed field goal missed field goal in the fourth quarter:
"To be honest, I think those days are over. The defense got up right away and said "If we stop them, we get the ball and we win." And the only way that happens is if they are trained to react that way in these situations, and it takes a long time to change that culture. It takes a very long time so it's very gratifying to see that without any talking from the coaching staff. That used to be air out of the balloon."

QB Adam DiMichele

On today's win:
"Every other game since I've been here that has been this close or come down to the end has not gone in our favor. I think today the defense played unbelievable and we made some plays late in the game on offense. It's only one win and we still have four more to go, but the guys are confident."

On his health:
"I felt good....tomorrow morning I'll feel pretty bad, but you can't feel any better than this right now."

Ohio Head Coach Frank Solich

On missed opportunities and mistakes:
"We got the opening kick off in the second half and we actually had the win, we had both of those and that's normally not how that works."

"Eventually we started loosing that field position that we had. Then the punt return gave them some momentum and a great opportunity and they played well in the second half. We had our opportunities and we just didn't take advantage of them."

On expecting bad plays in the 4th quarter:
"It's been a difficult year for us we've had more things happen at the end of games to loose games then maybe any team that I can remember being associated with. And when you start to get an accumulation of those kinds of things you feel a little bit like you're snake bitten."

"That's comes back to us, you know that comes back to finishing things off and really getting it done."

On Temple:
"To their credit they came back they played hard and in the second half they got things turned around for them."

"They're one of the better defensive clubs in our league and they rank fairly high nationally in some areas. So, you're not just going to run up and down the field on them."

On trying to beat Temple:
"You need to do a combination of things and in the first half we were doing a combination of things and we just weren't able to mold it together in the second half and get somewhat of a running game going to compliment our passing game. We got pretty one dimensional there."
