St. Bonaventure Shuts Out Women's Soccer, 5-0

Olean, N.Y.-Saint Bonaventure scored two first-half goals and never looked back, as the Bonnies defeated the Temple women’s soccer team, 5-0, on Friday afternoon in Olean, N.Y. The Owls drop to 2-10-4 overall and 0-5-3 in the A-10, while the Bonnies improve to 9-7-1 and 4-4-1 in the Conference.
St. Bonaventure took its 2-0 lead into the half after out-shooting the visiting Owls by a 6-2 margin. Temple finished with six shots on the day.
Kara Williams had two saves in 45 minutes of first-half action. Courtney Douglas played the entire second half, making two great saves, including a terrific stop just one and a half minutes into her service.
St. Bonaventure’s Nicole Markert was tested just two times on the day as she picked up her fourth shutout of the year.
The Owls next travel to Pittsburgh to take on Duquesne Sunday at 1 p.m.
