AMBLER, PA - The Owls were victorious 1-0 in Friday's contest with Richmond at Ambler Sports Complex. Senior defender Cori Gallagher scored the game winner unassisted on a free kick midway through the second half to secure the Owls first A-10 win of the season. The Cherry and White improve to 3-11-4, 1-6-3 in the Atlantic 10, while the Spiders fall to 10-8-1, 4-6-0.
It was keeper Kara Williams who provided strength in goal for the Owls, recording her second shut out of the season. Williams made seven saves on the day, including five in the second half.
Senior forward Charisma Wright gave the Owls a boost of the bench, tallying three shots and two shots on goal.
The Cherry and White will wrap up their season on Sunday, November 2, when they host George Washington, and celebrate Senior Day at 3:00 p.m.
