Temple Head Coach Al Golden
On another close loss -
"Sometimes you get in these big games when you get dialed up, and they just did a great job against us. We were worried on defense, and that's just one of the issues when you play this late in the season."
On Kent State's offensive success -
"[QB Julian] Edelman and [RB Eugene] Jarvis played a great game. The problem is we allowed Edelman to run the ball and throw the ball all game. We just didn't do a good job on defense, and certainly in the kicking game. We just needed to make one more play on offense."
On feelings after close loss -
"It's one of those games you can't get too high or too low. It's disappointing, obviously. We've been in so many close games, and right now we just don't have the killer mentality. We showed glimpses of it, but other times we just get complacent."
On WR Jason Harper's record-breaking performance -
"He's been doing it all season for us on the practice field. Coach has been talking about converting his shots, and he did that today. It was good to see because it's been a long time coming for him. This could be the game that really changes for him."
