St. Louis, Mo.- The Temple volleyball team gave Xavier everything it had but could not topple the Musketeers, falling 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 18-25, 10-15) in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 volleyball tournament.Temple drops to 15-14 on the season.

First Team All-Conference selection Yun Yi Zhang lead the Cherry and White with 20 kills and 11 digs, while adding three blocks. Cayleigh Ashman had 10 kills and Patricia Vernon posted strong net play with five blocks. Jackie Morrison dished 44 assists. Defensive specialist Ariel Pierre contributed 21 digs.

Temple finishes the 2008 season with a match against Albany on Saturday, November 29 at 5 p.m. in McGonigle Hall.
