PHILADELPHIA- After leading Temple to a big win over Charlotte, senior guard Ashley Morris was voted Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week for the first time in her career. Morris is having a breakout senior season, leading Temple in scoring with 14.8 ppg and assists with 99.

The senior averaged 23.5 ppg, 5 apg and 3.5 rpg in leading the Owls against A-10 powers Charlotte and Xavier.  She was nearly flawless from the free throw line, making 87.5% of her shots, and had an 8-for-14 performance from long range.  In the win against Charlotte, Morris torched the nets for a career-high 32 points, including 25 in the second half, behind 7-for-10 three-point shooting.  She added five assists and three rebounds to lead the Owls to a 66-53 victory over Charlotte.  In Saturday's loss at Xavier, Morris was the lone double figure scorer for Temple, scoring 15 points, including 13 in the first stanza.  She also had five assists and four boards.

Temple is 14-11, 7-2 in the A-10.  Next up for the Cherry and White is a game against Duquesne on Sunday, February 17 at 2 p.m.  The game will be Temple's Think Pink and Pack the House game, where a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
